Good Evening Robert Little Families!

(Please read to the bottom of this email for important messages and attachments)

Exciting News

We are very excited to announce that our Mrs Kerrie Stoehr has been promoted to a Vice Principal and will begin her new career at Alexanders Public School in Burlington!! Mme Stoehr has been an integral part of Robert Little for 17 years and will be greatly missed!  We know how dedicated Mme Stoehr has been to our amazing North Star families, the community of Alexanders is so lucky to have her join them beginning right after March Break.

Once a North Star always a North Star!  We wish Mme Stoehr the best of luck and know that she will be fantastic in this new adventure.

School Council

Our next School Council is Monday March 4th at 7:00 PM in our Library Learning Commons.  All families from Robert Little are invited to come out and hear about the great work we do at our school.  We will be discussing our upcoming Math Night, Fundraising for our new Playground and preparing for an awesome Spring!

If you have never been to a School Council meeting, why not come out and spend the hour with other invested parents who strive to make our school the best it can be!

Looking forward to seeing you here!

Pink Shirt Day

We will be having Pink Shirt Day here at Robert Little on Wednesday, February 27th to raise awareness about bullying. The focus for the 2019 Pink Shirt Day campaign is all around cyberbullying. Teachers will be holding discussions in their class about bullying and cyberbullying and what we can do to help put an end to it. Please send your child to school on Wednesday in a pink shirt so we can raise awareness and help put an end to bullying!

More information about Pink Shirt Day can be found at

Attention Grade Three Families

We hope many of our families will take advantage of this opportunity to understand the EQAO process and how to prepare your child (and yourself) for this important process.  Though EQAO is not assessed for grades, we closely read and monitor the data and use our results to inform our next steps in our academic learning.

EQAO: The Power of Good Information

Education Officers from EQAO's School Support and Outreach Team will provide an overview of EQAO’s mandate and how the assessments are created, administered and scored. In addition, parents will learn how they can work with the school to support their child’s success before, during and after the assessment process.
