Good Evening Robert Little Families!

(Please read to the bottom of this email for important messages and attachments)

It has been a very busy week at Robert Little! Spring is hopefully here to stay.

Parking Lot

As Spring has sprung we are asking for our Families to remind their children about Parking Lot Safety.  Students should not be walking through the parking lot to find the car picking them up. We ask that the driver either park their car in a designated parking spot, walk to the blacktop and walk back to the car with the child, OR wait in the line of cars and only allow the children to enter your car when you reach the blacktop.

We know waiting in a long line of parked cars is perhaps frustrating, however we are building parking lot safety routines with the children. We do not want the children to feel it is ok to walk between stopped cars.

Community Playground Fundraising Raffle

Thank you to our school community! Our Community Playground Raffle raised $1260.00.  We will inform the Town of Halton Hills and make additions to the planned Playground.  Keep an eye out for more information from the Town regarding the design and construction dates!

Dance a thon- One Week to Go!

We are looking forward to our Annual Dance a thon on Thursday April 18th!  We can not wait to don our white and glow items and dance the day away! Be sure to get your families and friends to sponsor your children for this school based fundraiser. Pledge envelopes are due back to the office on Monday, but families can still donate online using the donate button.

Thank you to all the families who have already placed their GLOW Order . There will be limited quantities available on the day of for purchasing. Students will need to pay cash for any items purchased at the Dance a thon!

Staff Appreciation Breakfast

We would like to take this time and thank our school council for planning and organizing the staff appreciation breakfast which took place this morning.  All the staff were overwhelmed with gratitude and joy as the delicious items were pouring in.

A HUGE Shoutout to all of you, for all your baking, your platters of fruit, your delicious ehnic inspired dishes, for the eggs, donuts, muffins, juice and yogurt we were definitely well fed.  Thank you for all of you who contributed by making a monetary contribution, council was able to purchase a carafe of coffee and tea which kept us going all day.

It is truly amazing to be part of this wonderful community.  Thank you North Stars!

Second Notice: Classroom Placement for 2017-2018

As we start our planning for next year, we always like to provide the opportunity for families to share their thoughts about what type of learning environment they feel is the best fit for their children. This is an opportunity for families to provide the office with a written outline of your child’s needs and what styles of teaching have been successful for your child in the past.

As a reminder, we do not take into consideration any requests for specific teachers due to classroom size restrictions and staffing changes that can happen over the next few months. We must stress that the class building process takes many areas into consideration when placing students. Please email Mrs Colleen Golightly directly, or drop a letter off at our main office. (golightlyc@hdsb.ca)

All letters must be in the office by April 30, 2019, at the very latest, to be considered prior to class building.

In Partnership,

Colleen Golightly

and the Staff of Robert Little
